Unclaimed Cooperative Capital Credits:
For South Carolina Electric And Telephone Cooperative Members And Former Members
Legislation passed in 2011 eliminated the requirement for electric and telephone cooperatives to report to the State Treasurer’s Office unclaimed capital credits owed to current and former members with a last known address in South Carolina. Instead, the Act requires each cooperative to maintain a searchable website containing the names of the owners of unclaimed capital credits with instructions for claiming the funds.
Below are links to the cooperative websites that have been established. If a website for the cooperative of which you were/are a member is not listed, please contact the cooperative directly to inquire about possible unclaimed capital credits in your name. We will be adding more weblinks as the cooperatives make them available.
